Oscar Fashion!

If you were in the lounge during RA Sari's Oscar party, you know there were a few dresses we LOVED and others...not so much.  Here is who we were obsessed with!

Happy Valentine's Day From Gramercy!

Are you free tonight at 9:30?  Why not come down to the lounge and spend some time with your favorite RA's Molly and Sari!  Tonight we have a super fun event making Valentine's for your friends around Gramercy!

Even if you only have a few minutes to spare, come on down to the lounge and write a secret note!  You can provide words of encouragement, a nice saying, or even a little love note.  We will decorate them up and RA's Molly and Sari will secretly deliver them for you!  So make someone in Gramercy feel special this Valentine's day!!!

Oh yeah... and of course there will be chocolate....

Gramercy Gives Back!

 Last week the Gramercy Gals Society hosted a very special event.  A bunch of Residents came down to the lounge to decorate cards for children in local hospitals.  The turn out was amazing!

So many happy cards!

All of our residents are so talented!  The kids are going to love these cards!

Can you tell we are obsessed with animals?

We have a few charities picked out to send these cards to.  Once we send them out, we'll do a post about where our cards went!  Thank you so much to everyone who came down and decorated, it was really a magical experience!  Now for the age old question....

SlutWalk NYC 2011!

Thank you to the lovely ladies who joined me at SlutWalk in Union Square! It was such an amazing experience to be a part of, and I cannot express how truly important it was to see such great support filling the streets. Talking with y'all about your various reasons for getting involved really reminded me what a diverse group we have at Gramercy. It was an honor marching, yelling, and protesting alongside so many beautiful men and woman, united against the injustices of rape culture. Can't wait to see what happens this year, and will definitely be walking again next year!

Hey Ladies! We are having a blast this month with our programming! We hope to see more faces at future events but thanks to all the girls who have been coming out! This week we have the Gramercy Gals Society event on Tuesday Night at 9:30pm. We are decorating cupcakes!!!

The Filter is at the same time that night, so if you are planning on going to that, just stop by and grab a snack for the road! Can't wait to see you all on Tuesday! And if you have any program idea's you'd like to suggest, leave a comment on this post or e-mail me at mkom@sva.edu! Us RA's are going to be putting up pictures from our last few events, so check back and keep an eye out for those!

Starting the year off right...

Gramercy kicked off the school year with delicious Tacos on Sunday! So many of you came out and it was so great to meet you! The taco night was hosted by the Gramercy Gals Society which you all learned about from me, RA Molly, at your floor meetings.

To kind of catch you up if you weren't at Taco Night, the GGS has events every other week and we really just get together to hang out, de-stress, talk about classes and enjoy ourselves. Gramercy is a family and this is how we grow a little closer together. Make sure you check our programming calendar and you can TOTALLY make suggestions on what you would like to see as a program. Actually, if you have an idea, leave it in the comments of this post!

Thanks to everyone who came! Wasn't it fun?! Plus...who doesn't like free food? Hope everyone is adjusting well back into Gramercy and enjoy your first week of classes!!!
